What Are “Spaces”?
Spaces are categories inside the Bright Haven Community that keep conversations organized. Instead of one giant feed, Spaces let you choose:
- which topics you want to see
- which conversations you want to follow
- where to post for the best responses
The Most Common Space Types
Your Community layout may evolve over time, but most Bright Haven Communities include Spaces like these:
Announcements (Start Here)
This is where Bright Haven shares:
- platform updates
- new features
- upcoming events
- important changes or rollout notes
If you only follow one Space, follow Announcements.
Recommended Reads / Book Recommendations
This is the best place to ask:
- “What should I read next?”
- “I want a small-town rom-com with low peppers. Any ideas?”
- “Can someone recommend clean romantic suspense with minimal violence?”
Genre Chats (Find Your People)
Spaces organized by genre or style such as:
- Romantic Comedy
- Contemporary
- Historical / Regency
- Small Town
- Romantic Suspense
- Seasonal / Holiday reads
Genre Spaces are great for quick recommendations and bookish conversation.
Book Clubs and Buddy Reads
If you like reading with others, these Spaces often include:
- monthly picks
- discussion prompts
- spoiler-friendly threads
- event dates and participation details
Author Events and Author Hangouts
Some Spaces highlight:
- live author Q&As
- behind-the-scenes posts
- launch celebrations
- special discussions

“I have feedback or a suggestion.”
Post in the feedback Space (if available), or send it through the chatbot so the team can track it.
How to Get Better Recommendations (Copy + Paste Template)
Want great recommendations quickly? Use this format:
Genre/Subgenre:
Peppers preference (1–3):
Audience (Teen/YA or Adult):
Content comfort level (language/violence/substances):
Sensitive themes to avoid:
A book you loved (optional):
The more specific you are, the more accurate the recommendations.
Spoiler-Friendly vs. Spoiler-Free Conversations
Some spaces or threads may include spoilers (especially book clubs). A few best practices:
- If you are starting a new recommendation thread, keep it spoiler-free
- If you are discussing a specific book, label spoilers clearly
- Use spoiler-friendly threads for deeper discussion when available
