What You Get With Free Access
Free access is designed to be simple and helpful:
- join the Community
- browse the catalog
- use filters to find books that match your preferences
- read or listen to a curated selection of titles included with free access
If you are on the free plan, you may see many books in the catalog that are not currently included with your access level.
What You Get With Paid Access
Paid access (monthly or annual) is designed for readers who want to enjoy Bright Haven without worrying about “how many books” they can read or which titles are available.
With a paid plan, you can:
- browse freely
- use all filters
- read and listen with full access included with your subscription

Why Some Titles Show as Locked or “Not Included”
This usually happens for one of two reasons:
1) You are on the free plan
Free access includes only a curated selection. Some titles will appear in the catalog but will not be available to read or listen yet.
2) You are logged in with a different email
Bright Haven access is tied to the email you used at checkout. If you are logged in with a different email in one of the Bright Haven tools (Account, Community, or Reader), your access can look limited.
Fix: Log out and log back in with your subscription email.
How to Confirm Your Plan
- Go to https://brighthavenbooks.com/account
- Sign in using the email you used to subscribe
- Review your subscription status and plan type
If your subscription is active but you still cannot access books, message support with your email and the title you are trying to read.
