“I Can’t Find a Book or Author” (Requests, Curation, and What to Do Next)

If you searched for a book or author and did not find what you expected, you are not alone. Bright Haven is a curated library, which means the catalog is intentionally selected and continues to grow over time.

This page explains why a title may not appear, what you can try first, and how to request books you would love to see added.

First: Try These Quick Fixes

Before submitting a request, these simple steps solve most “missing title” issues.

1) Search with fewer words

Search works best with short title fragments.

• Try one or two keywords
• Try the author last name instead of the full name

2) Remove filters temporarily

A strict filter can hide results. If you have filters turned on:

• clear one filter at a time
• then search again

3) Confirm you are logged in with the correct email

If you are on a free plan or you are signed into a different email than the one you subscribed with, you may see limited access.

Why a Book or Author Might Not Be on Bright Haven Yet

Bright Haven is not a full “everything available” catalog. We are building a trusted reading space with:

• clean, closed-door romance
• clear content filters
• consistent reader experience

Because of that, some books and authors may not be included yet, even if they are clean.

Common reasons:

• the title has not been added to the catalog yet
• the author is not currently in the Bright Haven library
• the format is not available yet (eBook vs audiobook)
• the title does not meet Bright Haven’s curation requirements

Can I Request a Book or Author?

Yes. We love reader requests.

When you request a book or author, you help us understand what readers want most, and you help shape future catalog additions.

What to include in your request

To help us evaluate quickly, please send:

• book title
• author name
• series name (if applicable)
• whether you want eBook, audiobook, or both
• a short note about why you love it (optional but helpful)

How to Submit a Request

Use the site chatbot and choose “Book/Author Request” (or simply send a message). Include the information above, and our team will review it.

A Note About Timing

Adding books takes coordination and time. Some requests may be added quickly, while others may take longer depending on availability and scheduling.

If we can’t add a title right away, we still keep requests on file and use them to guide future decisions.
