How the Free Trial Works
If a free trial is available at the time you subscribe, it will be listed on the Plans page and during checkout.
Key points:
- Trials begin immediately when you sign up.
- When the trial ends, your paid plan begins automatically unless you cancel before the end of the trial.
- If no trial is offered, you will see that clearly during checkout.

What “Access” Means on Bright Haven
Access depends on which plan you are on:
If you are on a paid plan
You will have reading and listening access to the Bright Haven library included with that plan. You can explore freely without worrying about hitting a book limit.
If you are on the free plan
You will have access to a curated selection of titles. You can still browse the full library and use filters, but some titles will be marked as not included.
Why Can I Only Read or Listen to Some Titles?
Bright Haven is a curated library. Depending on your plan, you may see a mix of:
- Titles included in your access right now
- Titles that are visible for browsing but not currently included in your plan
This is most common on the free plan, where access is intentionally limited to a smaller portion of the full catalog.
If you believe a title should be included but it is not showing that way, please make sure you are logged in with the same email you used at checkout.
Upgrading, Changing, or Canceling
You can manage your plan from your Bright Haven account page:
- Go to: https://brighthavenbooks.com/account
- Sign in using the email you subscribed with
- Select the subscription options to upgrade, switch plans, or cancel
If you cancel, your access remains active through the end of your current billing period (or trial period, if applicable).
