Search inside the Bright Haven Reader is designed to help you find books quickly, even if you do not remember the exact title. This guide shows the most reliable ways to search and what to try when results do not show up right away.

The Best Ways to Search

1) Search by Title (Fastest)

If you know the title, start here.

Tips

• Try a shorter version of the title (1–3 words)
• If you do not see it, remove extra words like “the,” “a,” or “and”

Example: Search “Ever After” instead of “The Ever After Promise.”

2) Search by Author

Author searches work well if:

• you are looking for a series
• you want to browse one author’s books

Tips

• Try the author’s last name only
• Try a partial name if you are not sure of spelling

3) Search by ISBN

If you have an ISBN (often found on product pages or book listings), ISBN search can be one of the most accurate ways to find a specific edition.

This is especially helpful when:

• a title has similar versions
• a book has multiple formats
• the title is common

4) Search by Keywords (When You Only Remember “Parts”)

You can often search by keywords tied to:

3. Close and reopen the app

Sometimes a refresh helps the search index load correctly.

4. Check spelling

“I Can Find It on the Website but Not in the Reader”

Sometimes a book may appear in the website catalog but not show up as available in the Reader experience yet (especially during platform updates).
