Using Your Bookshelf (All, Recently Accessed, Downloaded, and Favorites)

Your Bookshelf is your personal space inside the Bright Haven Reader. It helps you keep track of what you are reading, what you want to read next, and which books are ready for offline reading.

This guide explains what each shelf section means and how to use it.

What Is the Bookshelf?

The Bookshelf is where you store your titles in the Reader app. Think of it as your personal library inside Bright Haven.

From your Bookshelf you can:

• open books you are currently reading
• return to recent titles quickly
• find downloaded titles for offline access
• keep favorites in one easy place

The Four Main Bookshelf Views

All

This is the complete list of titles you have added to your Bookshelf.

Use All when you want to:

• browse everything you have saved
• locate an older title you added previously
• keep your personal library organized

Recently Accessed

This is the fastest way to get back to what you have been reading or listening to most recently.

Use Recently Accessed when you want to:

• continue a book without searching
• switch between a couple of current reads
• quickly reopen an audiobook you were listening to

Downloaded

This shows the titles you have downloaded to your device for offline reading or listening.

Use Downloaded when you:

• are traveling
• have spotty internet
• want the smoothest playback experience

Tip: If you do not see a title here, it may not be fully downloaded yet.

Favorites

Favorites are the titles you want to keep easy to find.

Use Favorites for:

• comfort reads
• book club picks
• series you plan to revisit
• books you loved and want to recommend

How to Add Books to Your Bookshelf

Inside the Reader app:

1. Search for the title
2. Open the book
3. Add it to your Bookshelf (or download it)

Some Reader versions add books automatically when you open them. If you are not sure, check your All shelf.

How to Download a Book (Best for Offline)

To download:

1. Open the book from the Reader
2. Select Download
3. Confirm it appears under Downloaded

If you are downloading an audiobook, allow a few minutes and stay on Wi-Fi if possible.

Keeping Your Bookshelf Organized

A simple approach:

• Use Favorites for books you love or want to keep
• Use Recently Accessed for current reads
• Remove books from All when you are finished (optional)

(Exact buttons vary by device.)

Troubleshooting

“My Bookshelf looks empty.”

This usually means you are signed in with a different email than the one you subscribed with.

Log out and log back in using your subscription email, then check again.

“My book isn’t showing under Downloaded.”

The download may still be in progress. Try:

• staying connected to Wi-Fi
• keeping the app open a bit longer
• restarting the app and checking again
